What can a research track offer to the student?
Teaching in the University is established on the solid ground of evidence-based knowledge. Research has an enormous impact on the success of our University now and in the future. As a research track student you will get an opportunity to become familiar with the scientific activities of your University. You will learn to see what research is about and how research transforms into new information. You will learn to understand how evidence-based knowledge modifies our understanding of the origin and treatment of different diseases. You will get an idea and start to appreciate how this understanding has changed over time, and how it is under the pressure of constant change and development. As a research track student you acquire skills and abilities which are helpful in your future work as a medical doctor, an odontologist or a nursing expert, in situations when you are expected to solve various clinical and research-related problems, perhaps also complicated ones.
