MRSA and VRE samples
Before you are allowed to exam the patients in the Turku University Hospital, you have to give negative MRSA (from nose) and VRE (from faeces) samples.
- Please introduce yourself to the teaching nurse and give your personal number to her.
- You will get the sample pot from the teaching nurse. Write your name and personal number on the pot. Please carry the sample of faeces to the TYKSLAB-laboratory (C-building 6, 4th floor). Notice that if you have to preserve the sample, it must be in +40C! Please introduce yourself in the office of the laboratory. The sample from the nose will be taken in the laboratory.
- Results of the tests you will have about a week later from the teaching nurse. Before that you are not able to exam patients!
