Clinical teaching
Goal
The goal of the student in this course is
- to learn the normal growth and development of the child
- to be able to diagnose and treat the commonest abnormal conditions, diseases and accidents in children and adolescents, and, when appropriate, forward the patient for consultation to a specialist
- to learn the most important procedures and therapeutic measures for children.
An additional goal particularly for the international students is to learn about the features and policies of the Finnish National Health Services, e.g. about school health care.
