'Information technology in Mental Health' is an research project aiming to support the development of high quality health services in Finland by generating information on clinical outcomes and cost-effectiveness of information technology (IT) use in mental health care.

The project has been funded by the Academy of Finland (TERTTU) 'Evaluation of Internet-based Patient Support System in Mental Health: A Cost-effectiveness analysis'.

The project has started on January 1, 2004 and will run for 4 years (31.12.2007). Towards the end of the project an International Invitational Conference will be held where the findings and recommendations of this research project will be discussed.
