PSKT6411 Psychiatry
Psychiatry for exchange students
Only Finnish speaking students may take part in the course of psychiatry with lectures, workshops and clinical work. Students, who do not speak Finnish but speak English, are given books to read and have exams about. We can take 3 foreign students each term.
The books are:
- Kaplan, Sadock, Grebb: Synopsis of psychiatry (2003 edition: chapters 13-17, 23, 27)
- Ursano, Sonnenberg: Psychodynamic psychotherapy
- Wills, Sanders: Cognitive therapy, transforming the image
All books are available at the library of the psychiatric department, Kunnallissairaalantie 20, building 9, 2nd floor. Ask for Ritva Eklund, the teaching nurse (ritva.eklund@utu.fi). You get 3 ECTS units for book number 1 and 2 ECTS units for each of the other books.
