Medisiina building likely to be reopened on Monday
The Medisiina building was closed on Friday 2 September due to fire at the A Hospital of Turku University Hospital. The building will probably be reopened on Monday morning. Teaching at the A Hospital is cancelled.
Smoke damages will be cleaned in the Medisiina building (Kiinamyllynkatu 10) over the weekend. The aim is to open the building on Monday morning. The electricity and ventilation in the building are functioning normally.
Teaching at the A Hospital has been cancelled. More information on the teaching arrangements can be found on the Faculty of Medicine website (in Finnish).
The Mikro building was also evacuated on Friday morning, but the building was reopened already before 9am.
A fire broke out at the A Hospital of Turku University Hospital in the early hours of the morning on Friday 2 September. The fire was extinguished by 10.15am.
